I have been working with my Photoshop tutorials to learn the software. It has not been easy to listen to the video and sew at the same time. However, after looking at banners for sale, I just could not find the right one. So I hope this will be it. I have a few others that I made up.
I actually think that they’re all very beautiful – you definitely have a feel for it! I think you’re right that the top one is the best – beautiful leaves, and it really stands out!
Thank you Astrid. I did not think I could do it, especially when I had to resize the whole thing. I almost called on Karen for help, but it worked out in the end.
Jeannine,
They all look great! I love brown and pink together, one of my favorite combos.
Are you open to tips? =)
For the red one, try putting the type on top for better readability. Also, when you use a scripted font, sometimes the end of one letter doesn’t meet the next. You have to manually “kern” them together. In photoshop, hold down the option key (alt? on a pc), and use the left/right arrows to move them closer or farther.
On the last one, try a soft tiny shadow under the main type, magenta or gray…?
Great job teaching yourself. I should tell my Aunt to give the videos a try. I was planning to show her, but schedules and kids don’t always allow. Sorry for the unsolicited advice. 😉
